Guided Tour - Managing Existing Quizzes for your ASLPro.cc School Accounts

This Guide covers: Editing Content (Deleting and Adding words to a Quiz), Deleting an entire Quiz, and Changing the Times when a Quiz is available to your students.

From your Teacher Dashboard, click "Manage Existing Tests" to access these features.

This is the "heart" of Administering your Quizzes.

Manage Existing Quizzes

There are 3 features in this category. You can choose to edit selected Content for a Quiz, or change the time for when a Quiz can be taken, or delete a Quiz that is no longer needed. Select one of your Quizzes by clicking the radial button next to the Quiz. Then select one of these 3 options.  Let's take them one at a time.

Edit Selected Content

Clicking this option allows you to edit the Content of a Quiz that has already been created. There are 2 different things you can do in this panel. You can delete words and/or add words to a Quiz. Click the radio button next to the quiz you want to edit. Then click "Edit Selected Content."

Deleting Words

Next, Let's take a look at deleting one or more words. This is done in the first section of the page, at the top, above the "Delete selected content." button. Just click next to each word you want to delete from the Quiz, then click the "Delete selected content" button. Remember, you must keep at least 4 words in any Quiz. So, if you started with a 4 word quiz, it would be best to Add a word(s) to the quiz before deleting other words.

Your action is confirmed and you can return to the Teacher Dashboard for further management. If you receive an error message, you will be told how to correct it.

Adding Words

You can also Add Words to your Quiz. The second option on this page is located below the "Delete selected content " button. To add words to the Quiz. Simply fill in the blank with the number of words you want to add to the Content. Make sure you have the correct Dictionary selected that matches the Dictionary type of the original Quiz, If you do not select the same Dictionary as the original quiz, you will receive an error message! (This is why we recommend that you keep a "paper list" of the quizzes you create. It will help avoid confusion when you want to edit a Quiz.) Click the "Add Words" button.

A new page will open with the same number of blank Word fields as you selected in the previous page. The screenshot below shows the empty field ready to accept your input.

Just as you did when you created the Quiz, click on any letter to select  a word or words from that letter category. To select words that begin with the letter "A," click A above the "Choices" section, then select a word from the drop down list. To select words that begin with the letter "B," click B and then select a word from the drop down list, etc.

Clicking a word choice fills the blank field with your new selection.

After clicking the "Save Content" button, your action is confirmed and you can return to the Teacher Dashboard for further management. If you receive an error message, you will be told how to correct it.

Delete a Quiz

This option will allow you to delete an entire Quiz once it is no longer needed. To delete a Quiz, simply click the radio button next to the Quiz you want to delete and click the "Delete " button.

Edit Quiz Time

Finally, If you would like to edit the time period for which a Quiz will be available to your students, click the radio button for that quiz, then click the "Edit Selected Test Time" button,

The next screen confirms your quiz choice. Click the radio button next to the quiz, then click the "Edit Test Time" button to confirm.

If the "Make Test Available At" setting is after the current date and time, your students will not be able to see the Quiz until the selected time period occurs. Shown below is an example of original Quiz times that stops the Quiz on January 1, 2025 at 12:00 pm.

Make the changes to the times you want your Quiz to be available, and then click the "Save Test Times" button. Here, we changed the "Stop the Quiz at" date to December 15, 2025 at 12:00pm.

Click the "Save Test Time" button. Your action is confirmed and you can return to the Teacher Dashboard for further management. If you receive an error message, you will be told how to correct it.
